2011 - Lent

Lent is a time for looking inward and evaluating our spiritual lives.  At St. Paul's Church in Bergen, we take this seriously.  You'll notice major changes in our weekly worship as we try to create space that is conducive to introspection.

Very often, Lent is a time for individuals to make a private confession with a priest.  If you would like to do so, please email Fr. Jon at Jon@StPaulsJC.org to schedule an appointment.

During the season of Lent, mite boxes are available for alms-giving as a part of your daily devotion.  You can pick up your mite box from the church at any time during Lent.  Collections will be donated to Episcopal Relief and Development for the purpose of rebuilding The Episcopal Church in Haiti.  For more information about where the money will go, CLICK HERE.

Special services during Lent:

Ash Wednesday - Mass and imposition of ashes at 7:30 am and 7:30 pm.

Palm Sunday - Mass and procession of palms at 8:00 am and 11:00 am.

Maundy Thursday - Mass, Footwashing, and stripping the Altar at 7:00 pm.

Good Friday - a solemn service of prayer at 7:00 pm.

Easter Sunday - a Festival Eucharist at 11:00 am.
